Hand-built and wheel-thrown small batch functional and decorative ceramics by Olena Hassell , designed and made in North London. Each piece begins as thin slabs of clay, sliced and torn into "pasta-like" ribbons, embellished with vintage lace and hand-stitched embroidery. The result is a collection of contemporary handmade vessels that look and feel fun, playful, and alive.
A bit of life, a bit of style, and everything in between. Handmade ceramics made in Hackney, London by a Ukrainian scientist turned photographer and potter who spent many years in Toronto and New York CIty. I love to experiment with structure and function to create unique, often playful, beautiful pieces. I teach photography classes online via Skillshare.
